GEAR PUMPS

Electric pumping units are produced in climatic version “U”, location category “C” according to the State Standard GOST 15150.

Minimum temperature in the room where the units are located should  be +5 °С.

According to the principle of operation, gear pumps are of a positive displacement type.       

The working mechanism consists of two rotors: a main and a secondary, which are spur gears, manufactured in one piece with the shaft.

The rotors are enclosed in a cage, which consists of two adjacent cylindrical borings.

The casing is closed on both sides by end caps, one of which is connected to the pump stand.

Flanged suction and discharge holes are located on the side surfaces of the casing.

When the rotors rotate underpressure, which provides the suction of the pumped liquid into the cavity (inter-gear cavities) of the pump, is formed  from the suction side .

Due to the interaction of the working mechanism with the liquid, it moves towards the discharge hole, which creates the calculated pressure and pump capacity.

The mechanical seal prevents unpredictable outflow of liquid along the shaft.

To prevent an off-design pressure increase  and liquid leakage outward, when the pump is stopped, valves are installed in the structure.

The pump is connected to the drive by means of a coupling.
